Hyperactivity and inattention scores of 6 or higher on the CPT are considered to be a sign of ADHD. A Qb-Score of 1.5 for healthy individuals is suggested as the threshold to diagnose ADHD.

The study found that malingerers over compensate for their skill deficits. They also scored lower on visual tasks and auditory tasks, which led to lower mean scores for visuals. However, they couldn't make up the Visual Focus and Auditory Prudence tests.
