It is important to remember that the item rerolled will not retain its level or use any wasted resources.

Certain upgraded items can only be rerolled if the original item was a Unique, Rare or Epic. Some exceptional items can also be eligible for rerolling, but their original stats will be replaced with an uninvolved bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare item will result in a Normal version of the same type, while rolling an Epic item will result in an elite version of the same kind.

The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by its tier and quality.
