Satya Nadella's transformation of Microsoft is considered one of the most successful corporate turnarounds in business history.[4] When he became CEO, Microsoft was seen as a fading giant losing relevance to cloud-native competitors. Under his leadership, Microsoft regained its position as one of the world's most valuable and innovative companies.

As an Indian-American CEO of a major American corporation, Nadella has also become a prominent figure in discussions about diversity, immigration, and global talent in the technology industry.
