Upgrades can boost the stats of a piece of equipment and at times even add additional features. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the number of random augmentations used.

For example, the elite shield of racial violence Razortail is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorb ability in PvP or to add additional defenses on missile based builds in PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the un-upgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens permit you to roll a purchased item such as a weapon, armor or ring. This allows you to swap the item for a different one similar item, with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective option to upgrade equipment. They don't preserve the original item's level and any wasted resources aren't rewarded.

The survivors can get tokens to reroll in many ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They are also available in chests and crates or purchase them from the stores for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute of an item for example, increasing its damage or giving it a new stat.

Players can reroll their equipment using three categories: physical power, magic power, and health. Upgrades to physical power increase the damage of melee and weapons attack and spell power upgrade mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades provide the player with an additional level of health.

Three types of reroll tokens are available in three categories: upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Each of these upgrades the item to a better quality. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

The marker that rerolls, unlike special tokens or markers placed on action spaces, remains on the space until the next success is rerolled. This helps you save upgrades.

Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase, and are opened by grabbing them with Interact. When they are opened, they will display an image and description of the Appliance or Ingredient. Growthstones

Weapons, armor, and accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that boost the level of an item by increasing its stats or attributes. These items can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a price. In addition, players can get these stones by signing daily contracts.

To upgrade gear players must first identify the appropriate item, and then click on the "level up" button. The screen will show a summary of the item's level, and what it will become when it is upgraded. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones required to do so. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade a piece depends on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.

After deciding on what to upgrade, players need to select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to utilize and pay the appropriate cost. When the requirements have been satisfied, the user can select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item upgrade. The item will be raised in level by a specific percentage. The process of upgrading can last anywhere from seconds to several minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.

The upgrade process is also completely risk-free and does not affect the item's durability. This makes the system an ideal way for players to get an advantage in combat without putting stress on their bank accounts. Additionally, players can transfer the experience and advancement of an upgraded item to a new item by clicking the "transfer" tab.

For new players, it can be difficult to acquire Growth Stones. There are many methods to get these stones. You can finish contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, get them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or collect them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.

Leveling

Leveling is a feature that allows you to increase the stats of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. It is achieved by adding upgrade components at the Upgrade Station, paying a fee in Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade materials will be used up and the item will gain an upgrade to a higher level. This process can be repeated until the maximum level for an item is reached.

Items with upgraded stats will have a blue icon beside their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments can't be added to more than one item at once. Each upgrade component will require a certain number of items and a minimum equipment level.

The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can place an item to be upgraded. On the right, previews show what the gear will look like at its next level. Once a player has enough materials by pressing the yellow arrow, it will initiate the upgrade process.

A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded the base stats of the item will increase by an amount of. The highest level for an item is 19.

When an item reaches its maximum capacity that it can no longer have the option of upgrading. Likewise, once a piece of gear reaches an upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades for that track will have a discount.

Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to give an attribute bonus or extra effect when the equipment is equipped. They can be bought from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so will damage the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs, which can be removed and replaced at will.

Requirements

Upgrades to items give players the ability to increase certain stats on weapons and armor that they currently have. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary depending on its type however, you'll usually require Dilithium as well as a number Upgrade Tokens.

Upgrades to items can be slotted into equipment set pieces and weapons for added effects or a higher quality item upgrader mod. The upgrades can be acquired through a variety of sources in the game, such as crafting, purchased at the Trading Post or karma vendors, looted from bosses and raids, or collected from dungeons. Once an upgrade items component has been inserted into an object, it cannot be removed or replaced. However the glyphs can be swapped freely.

Upgrading an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Certain upgrade components have additional modifiers that can improve the stats of the item.

For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense, and adds an extra 20% chance to block. The DPS "Wildfire" however, increases weapon damage.

Some items are better off being upgraded less because of their improved stats, but more for the fact that it lets players get the most value out of a perfect roll on the item. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for example, is highly valued by the melee PvP communities and could be worth 20-50 times the non-upp’d version.

The game will display the requirements when you select the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. The game will show the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.

The game will add an item in your inventory when you have met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show you how far you are to finishing the upgrade. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by going to any item upgrader (like this) NPC.
