The item upgrade allows players to boost the gear rating of an item by up 700 points and also add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you bring them to the Kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd for their unique stats (like perfect made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading along with the relative values of those stats. This means that a change from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button within the item menu, using the circling arrows. This will reroll the item and alter its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's level or connect to the status of your account.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE increases in resistance to curses, poison, fire, and magic. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has, the more value you get from each point of health therefore it is important to upgrade your armor as much as possible.

To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. Potions

Players must upgrade their most valuable items first.
