iRobot suggests that you clean the area in which the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes putting away any toys or other items it may encounter. It's also an excellent idea to keep the dustbin and filter clean so that they do not become blocked by dirt. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is depleted, it returns to the docking station and empties the dirt into the station’s external dustbin. In our tests the i7+ performed quicker and more maneuverable than our top choice and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it took large pieces of pet hair from all surface types, including carpeting. The biggest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin, which eliminates major sources of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot to start, stop, or pause cleaning sessions and also to move around the room and vacuum a particular area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. Once connected, we were able to give the i7+ voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world of cordless vacs that feel like minivans or buses, this tiny Dyson model feels like an automobile. It's got the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum in many households and can fit nicely on the coffee table or shelves where you can move it around like an enchanted tool.

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell, high-energy lithium-ion battery that can provide fade-free power for 60 minutes. The sophisticated whole-machine filter system is able to trap allergens and then releases fresh air into your home. (A second time is usually sufficient). That's not to say this model doesn't have its benefits It's lighter and more maneuverable than older cordless Dysons and its vacuuming performance is noticeably better on low-pile carpet.

4. iRobot Roomba 694

The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's an excellent choice for those who don't have lots of money to invest in the latest model of robot. It's capable of sucking up a variety of debris types and sizes during our tests, and it frequently goes over the same areas multiple times to get a really thorough clean. Its flat front allows it to reach the corners and the edges of walls.

Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home, but it's not equipped with the ability to map that comes with more sophisticated models such as our top choices and the i3+ EVO and j7+ series.
