Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

Components

Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment to which it is used (for instancethe "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to make stronger versions of the equipment using fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Leveling
