Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide a stat bonus or extra effect while they're in use. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher tier version of the item will be revealed at the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of how much it will improve after a future reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be expensive, and there is a significant chance that the item could be obsolete or even break if it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer the player a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

The player is able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it increases its crit chance it will be applied before any damage to attack increases. The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots.
