World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

Item upgrade allows players to increase the level of weapons and armor that are equippable. This increases the stats and can also add buffs or rerolls on an affix.

It is important to keep in mind that even though you can upgrade magic and common equipment, it is generally not worth the effort. Rare and unique gear will quickly outclass upgraded magic and common gear.

Cost

The player must pay gold to upgrade an item. The cost of upgrading an item is dependent on its current level and the type of upgrade selected. Upgrades to weapons are usually less expensive than upgrades to armor since weapons have less requirements. The amount of Gold required to upgrade an item increases when the item upgrader mod is upgraded to a higher level.

A new item will also have increased stats, which can boost its performance in many ways. This may include boosting its attack strength or critical strike chance. In addition an upgraded item might be able to offer additional buffs for its equipped unit. These upgrades can be utilized for a variety of reasons such as to increase the overall strength of a particular or group unit. They also can be a significant influence on gameplay.

Any NPC that upgrades items can be located in the game. Generally NPCs can be found in major cities or questing locations. Players can also find upgraders in dungeons that have high-level bosses, or by talking to NPCs in their garrisons for their faction.

The World of Warcraft item upgrade system allows players to upgrade the level of weapons, armor and trinkets. This procedure is similar to the gear reforging process in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However, instead of using currency, players need to visit an item upgrader to complete the process.

Upgrades can be expensive, especially for weapons and armor. Depending on the upgrade track each step up in item level can cost several Valorstones or crests. The total costs can be very prohibitive for players who do not have the funds or aren't willing to grind them.

Fortunately, the game allows players to play a reroll of an upgraded item by using an exclusive tool within the menu for items. This option lets you exchange the upgraded item with a level 1 version which comes with an additional set of bonus effects. This is useful to gain better results on items which are already upgraded. However, it could also be a waste.

Requirements

The process of upgrading equippable items like armor, weapons and trinkets is to raise the item level. This can increase their power which makes them more powerful in combat. Players can upgrade gear by spending the appropriate currency at an item upgrader NPC. Players should be aware the fact that certain upgrades require special requirements.

The first upgrades increase the stats of the item's base by one level, however later upgrades give more substantial enhancements. For instance upgrading a weapon from three to level six will boost the weapon's damage by plus two levels. Additionally, the upgraded item will be awarded a bonus stat, which is based on its tier. The bonus is a combination of a guaranteed substat and random generated stats, which will vary from upgrade to upgrade.

A player can Reroll an upgraded item using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a new version. The new item will feature a different set of extra bonuses as well as a lower base item level. The rerolled item will also have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to know that the rerolled item will not retain its level or have any of its wasted resources.

Certain upgraded items can only be rerolled only if the original item upgrader kit was Unique, Rare or Epic. Extraordinary items are also eligible for rerolling, but their original stats will be replaced by a flat bonus. Rerolling a Rare item will result in a Normal version of the same type, while the rerolling of an Epic item will result in an elite version of the same kind.

Upgraded items can come with additional adjustments that can boost their performance and increase their stats. These additional modifiers aren't included in the upgrade price. They can be acquired by doing quests, purchasing them at the Trading Post or from other players. Alternatively, they can be earned by completing certain missions in the game.

To upgrade an equipment piece, you need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. Depending on the type of item, you'll need one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is droppable from monsters 21+ and Giants and Dice 12 is available from Bosses). Additionally, you will require different amounts of Minerals and Erons.

Time is a major factor.

Upgrades to items can be used to increase the power of your equipment and ship without the need to level them. Upgrades aren't cheap, but they can be a great way to boost your stats and not have to spend so much time in battle. It's important to know the costs and benefits before making the investment of time or money.

Each upgrade boosts the stats of the item's base by to a certain extent and also gives the chance to obtain an additional substat. The additional substat is randomly assigned, and can vary from a slight increase in one stat to a much greater increase in another. Concentrate on the things that perform best in slots first. They will give you a more profit for your investment.

You can check the time it takes to complete an upgrade by opening your inventory and selecting a weapon, ship or other accessory. The upgrade window will display the estimated completion time and the progress. In certain cases, you may be able speed up the upgrade process by using a Glyph.

Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage sell a top-quality salvage kit that permits you to retrieve all or a portion upgrade components. This is not the case for legendary equipment or upgrades that can only be retrieved using an Upgrade extractor or by returning the item to the Karma dealer.

Rewards

Item upgrading rewards players with a number of items and currency. Each upgrade also has the chance to grant an unspecified stat bonus. The amount of bonus awarded will vary for each upgrade, and is usually more expensive for rarer items. The players can perform a Great Vault search to see whether an item is upgradeable prior to purchasing tickets. The search can assist in determining whether the item is of a particular class and whether the player would benefit by an upgrade.

In the process of upgrading, an item will gradually advance to its next level, however, it isn't always able to reach the full upgrade bar. This process uses Growthstones and Sollant but there's an 80% chance of obtaining a fully upgraded item in just one cycle. The higher the level an item gains, the higher its stats will be and the more items that can be upgraded.

Upgrade components can be slotted into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an attribute bonus or additional effect while the equipment is equipped. Certain upgrade components also have cosmetic effects. Upgrade components are available by crafting, buying from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving as a gift. Additionally players can find upgraded items by using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with a salvage kit. Glyphs, which are placed in tools for gathering, can be freely exchanged without restriction.

The player can transform an item to upgrade it into another item by selecting it and pressing the green button a reroll arrow. This will alter the layout of the game and let players select up to six items to be used for "recycling". The item that is recycled will be exchanged with an item at level 1 of the same type. Recycled items don't keep their level or the amount of resources used to upgrade them.

The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by the item's tier as well as its quality. Rare and Epic items are able to be upgraded to levels of nine, whereas common items can only be upgraded to level six. The item upgrades are added to its base statistics. This means that they won't grow more after a certain point.
