World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses, such as crit chance and PvE damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase an additional 3% of the previous damage for every time it's upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets to give them a stat boost or to add an additional effect. They can be acquired through crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them. The item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using the smallest amount of upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence characteristics of an armored weapon or. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

The player can have a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade items increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of how much it will increase after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it's possible that the item will be obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, which includes any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible up to 15 levels.

You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the best way to upgrade your equipment. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the many Glyphs as well as some rare Glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

The use of a Glyph can boost all nodes connected to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For example that a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be leveled until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each item level requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When a player upgrades an item it is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item upgrade comes with its own set of bonuses. This can be a downside since the item may increase in price even if you do not need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with an initial level and a totally different set of bonuses. This is a good option for some items, but it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can use up many resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player repeatedly enters or leaves the water. It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item can be very useful in PvP battles, since a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the quality of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency and items to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense and weapon upgrades items increase their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear which can have eight upgrades. Each each time you upgrade an item it is given the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you go beyond the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state which means that the player has to spend additional materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned, such as chances to be crit attack damage, other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or reloading speed). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements than standard gear. For instance they may require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different upgrade ingredients.
