Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower creates, manufactures and distributes a variety of heavy and medium-duty electric vehicles. This includes school buses, cargo buses, and shuttles.

EV Star is a highly customizable zero-emission vehicle that's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America conforming. It has a class-leading range and ADA wheelchair provisions. It also offers cargo delivery configurations.

GreenPower Motor Company produces a full line of high-floor as well as low-floor all-electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their most popular vehicle and it can be customized to meet a variety of applications. The platform's clean sheet design approach allows for the optimal placement of battery packs and a lower center of gravity resulting in better payload-to-range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The refrigerated trucks in class 4 with a single wall structure inside, and higher insulation than conventional trucks, allows for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer service life. The EV Star REEFERX provides superior capacity for cargo, and an industry-leading payload to reach the range of zero-emission freight or passenger transport.

GreenPower has collaborated with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system, which will allow fleets to easily transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star is also capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW.

We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on a local highway for several hours, and found it easy to drive, and comfortable to drive long distances. The ride is smooth and smooth over ruts and bumps, while the EV9 does a great job of suppressing wind and road noise on the highway. The acceleration is extremely fast and the car has adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by lifting the accelerator.

The EV9 has a wide range and can be recharged in three hours or less at home, or with any commercial charger. Drivers can choose between two operating modes including eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode prioritizes the green power mobility scooter reviews as well as cruise control and handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both modes are fun to drive, and offer a unique experience for those who've never been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other electric mobility scooter fastest vehicles, including a multi-purpose electric mini bus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used for executive shuttles, transit or microtransit vanpools, buses, and paratransit vehicles.

GreenPower is currently producing around 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of older diesel vehicles with 100 fully electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration looking to electrify school buses across the country, GreenPower plans on ramping up production to meet demand. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested by Altoona and green mobility Scooter FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA conforming. They will be eligible for federal transit grants. Keep an eye on us for updates as we follow the AV Star on its demonstration tour later this year. We will share more details on this exciting electric vehicle.
