It features advanced features like enhanced dirt detection and future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).
It's the only robotic mop or vacuum to score 100% in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.
Like other iRobot models, the X40 is user-friendly, with an intuitive mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only real drawback is that it's a noisy unit that could be an issue if you use it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you attempt to sleep.
It's also a bit expensive, although it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally capable and look better. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's extremely powerful however it's going to cost you more and make more noise.
