1. Roomba Combo j9+
The Roomba Combo j9+ is one of the most sophisticated 2-in-1 robot autonomous vacuum and mop cleaners available on the market today. It comes with an elegant, self-emptying Clean Base that can handle up to two full mopping cycles. It is designed to look like a small table. It is also the only robot we tested with an onboard reservoir that automatically washes and replenishes the cleaning pads after every mopping and vacuum cycle.
The mopping arm is placed on the top of the unit until it spots hard floors, and then it lowers to begin scrubbing. It moves slowly across surfaces to avoid spreading wet or muddy spills on carpeted areas. It does a good job of staying out of the way of cords, furniture, and other obstacles.

It's a fantastic vacuum and mop, completing our 1,500 square foot test area in a mere 101 minutes before running out of battery and returning to its dock. Its mop washes itself in between uses, which lowers maintenance costs and keeps its pads clean. A dock sensor detects when a mop's pad becomes dirty and initiates the wash cycle.
Like its predecessors as well, the S8 MaxV Ultra features an intelligent system that can recognize household objects including shoes and pet waste using cameras and LIDAR combination. It was a great performer in our evaluation of obstacle avoidance and had only one issue during my testing (it was stuck when unwinding a wool ball that was tangled up around its brush arm).
