World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade of an item allows players to increase an item upgrader's gear score up to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to benefit from their unique stats (like perfect made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not change significantly after an upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also come with an unchanging bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Additionally, many weapons have a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a unit. This bonus may exceed the damage a weapon upgrade alone can do.

A weapon's upgrade items costs depend on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it requires more Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrades to weapons also reroll the stats of their base. This is usually a positive aspect, but it may also have negative consequences. In the case of items that are only used in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance), upgrading them may render them useless unless you happen to have an extremely fortunate roll.

Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their effectiveness. For example, if you upgrade a helm or chest, this will increase its defense base while gloves and belts increase their strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it is able to roll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats it will gain upon upgrading, as well as the relative values of those stats. This means that a change from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in a weapon gaining 33% attack damage. However the 3% does not mean that it will hit for 3 fewer times as it is an absolute statistic.

Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button within the item menu using the circling arrows. The item will be rerolled and change its statistics, but not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make all the difference to your survivability. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE improvements in the resistance to poison, curses, fire, and magic. This can make it easier to navigate difficult terrains. In general, the more defense you have on your character, the more health you can get from each point. So, it's best to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game and in order to unlock each fountain, you must complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've done the main side quest and completed the fountain in question you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees required for each will vary. In general, you'll need at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for instance can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which will allow you to keep up in frigid conditions with a large number of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense to ensure you're able to survive a battle with friends.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll need to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear to fight the final boss, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also gain advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be useful to have a few upgrades to your chest armor and helmets that allow you to stealth around certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, provide a temporary effect. There are five kinds of potions, each with particular effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, increasing the effectiveness of their effects. Additionally, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.

Upgrades to potion require a certain amount of XP. This can be obtained by crafting them on a crafting table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion as well as the item's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This opens a GUI where you can choose the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they will give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.

Once a potion is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate until you use it again or break the bottle within the container it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change its name.

There were some changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. Splash potions for instance, now have a duration zero, not the 22.5 seconds displayed on the item hover display. The table of potion constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be mixed in cauldrons. This is the same for using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will draw out the liquid, and then refill the bottle.

In addition, there are simmering potions made using dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The potion table is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket can be described as a small and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also be an ornament or object that has a purpose but isn't essential as a thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to symbolize friendship or affection, especially between family members.

In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades, made a post,, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their status.

The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrading a trinket is an economical alternative to buying an entirely new one. One can upgrade their trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same base level as the old trinket, however, it will also come with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Trinkets can be upgraded once they are no longer useful and allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded between players and are a viable alternative to gold.

Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, followed by their secondary items and finally, other pieces of gear that will not be replaced soon (for example, a ring or cloak). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when deciding the items to upgrade items. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm and shoulders.

After they've become unusable, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket comes with an additional bonus of 1. Re-upgrading will destroy the trinket unless it is salvaged using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, but is still cheaper than purchasing the new one.
