The best robotic mop and vacuum Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can vacuum and mop without needing your attention. It leaves your floors spotless. Its low cost and high-end features (such as dirt detection) are pluses.

Be sure to regularly check your robot's brushes for hair tangled as well as large debris, and wash them when needed. Some models can also self-empty the dust bin on board and then deposit it in an additional bin at the bottom. This can reduce the amount of fine dust released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've examined. They feature top-of-the-line motors that can generate up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other premium iRobot models (including the top choice), they use intelligent mapping technology to create detailed floor plans that avoid household obstacles such as cords and furniture legs. They also come with a feature called carpet boost that boosts the robot's performance when it sees the presence of dirt on the carpet, allowing it cleaned up quickly.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests on floors that were bare and are especially adept in removing dog hair. There are some issues however, which hinder them from being our top choice. For one, the Q5's navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacle avoidance technology and is therefore prone to getting hung up on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate rooms with a lot of people efficiently in our tests. It also doesn't come with cameras that let it see the corners of a room.

Still, it's very good, especially if you want to save money on an iRobot Roomba and you have a mostly bare-floor home or office. It's also very quiet and can be used while you're at work, or going to school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. And it's less effective at mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes that don't hold on for long and don't deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle however. And, if you have to, you can swap the mopping pad to dry ones in just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into an elegant, compact package. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it easy to clean and effective at dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also features an impressive suction system and an automatic bin for emptying. It's the best robot vacuum that mops robot hoover for carpets, although it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning robot mop and vacuum.

This highly efficient mop and vacuum combo makes use of advanced sensors to avoid obstacles and pet waste and it also learns your home's layout over time to provide more efficient cleaning. You can change its cleaning schedule and customize zones using the app that is well-designed. It comes with a battery life that is comparable to other models.

It is possible to instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and to extend them when in a room with carpet which prevents cross-contamination. Its flex arm is ideal for getting under furniture that is low and along baseboards. It's not as efficient on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During testing, X30 Ultra was the quickest robot vacuum/mop that could clean an entire home with just 66 percent of its battery remaining. It did a great cleaning job on various floors and rooms with different flooring types including some area rugs. Its obstacle detection was great and it stayed clear of fake dog turds, socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's a little more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after vacuuming this feature, which we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant circular design that appears more like a normal Roomba rather than the compact models this mop and robot vacuum is among the most attractive looking models in our reviews. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also among its most advanced. It features advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's best robot hoover that is able to wash mop pads autonomously).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum to score 100% in our tests thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It comes with an easy mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This could be a concern in the mornings prior to work or at night when you are trying to fall asleep.

It's also a bit expensive, but it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally capable and look better. If you're willing to live with a little more noise and a little more cost, this is a very powerful two-in-one that will delight most.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with many advanced features to help you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaner that is similar to Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It comes with a multi-function dock that will automatically emptys the vacuum's bin and refills the water tank, and washes and dries mop pads.

The smart robot makes use of LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floorplans and identify obstacles. It can navigate more efficiently than its top competitors. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time hazards detection, though this wasn't completely foolproof in our tests, and was often confused with obstructions or power cords.

The vacuum cleaner has an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to complete the task. It also has a feature called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas in the home based on how dirty these areas tend to be.

If you have a bigger home, it is worth selecting a robot that comes with zones or spot cleaning modes. This lets you instruct the robot on which part of your home must be cleaned by using the app or voice control. If you have lots of furniture, a stair mode is also a good option. Finally, a recharge and resume function that lets your robot vacuum pick up right where it left off is great for busy families.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is more advanced than its price would suggest. It does a stellar job vacuuming, removing 55% of debris in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses using only one pad and a reciprocating movement which is cleaner than the majority of the robot mop cleaners that we've tried. It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a fully-featured app, and a self emptying, washable base.

The iRobot app is designed to guide you through a mapping run, which gathers information on your floorplan and any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules, or to set up an automatic vacuum cleaner and mop spot-clean. You can also use it to rank your most filthy areas for greater efficiency. The app offers a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.

It can also reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It is equipped with an impressive 8,000 Pascal suction, as well as clever combs for removing pet hair. You can also create a spot-cleaner which will thoroughly clean an area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD offers a sleeker more affordable alternative to iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It does a good job vacuuming, but it is more susceptible to get caught on low thresholds and is a bit louder than the other top robot vacuums we've examined. It also has an app that is less intuitive and a small base station that does not double as a bin for emptying.
