Why Item Upgrade Is Your Next Big Obsession

Upgrades to gear increase its stats base and often enhances its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random augmentations used.

Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to reroll a purchased item, such as armor, weapon, or ring. This replaces the item with another of the same kind however with different benefits. Reroll tokens are an efficient method of upgrading equipment. However, they do not retain the level of the original item and any resources that are wasted aren't refunded.
Survivors may acquire reroll tokens via a variety of methods, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be located in crates and chests or bought from the market for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of the equipment for example, increasing its damage or giving it a new stat.
Players can roll equipment in three aspects: physical power, spell power, and health. Upgrades to physical power increase the damage of melee and weapons attack and spell power upgrade mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.
There are three types of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades an item to a higher-quality and requires a higher-quality reroll token order to create it. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, rare upgrades require a special or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
Unlike other special tokens and markers placed on Action spaces the reroll marker stays in the space until the next success result is repeated. This helps to avoid wasting upgrades.
Blueprints are envelopes which appear at the beginning of each preparation phase. They can be opened using Interact by grasping them. Once they are open, they display a full description and an icon for the appliance or ingredient that they correspond to. Blueprints can be exchanged to purchase a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's store for a small amount of money.
This means that you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a run. This alters the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop has available to reroll and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons, armor, and accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that can increase the quality of an item by increasing its stats and abilities. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a price. These stones can also be purchased by players who complete daily contracts.
To upgrade equipment players first need to find the item they want to upgrade and then click on the "level up" button. This will display a menu that shows the item's current status and what it will be after being leveled up, along with the required amount of Growth Stones to accomplish this. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor requires only one Growth Stone.
After deciding on what to upgrade items, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the appropriate cost. After the player has met the requirements, he is able to select the upgrade option and apply the Growth Stones. This will increase the item's level a certain percentage. The upgrade process can take between a few seconds and minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is also safe and doesn't impact the item's durability. The system is an excellent option for players who wish to gain an advantage in combat but don't want spend a lot of money. Moreover, players can transfer the experience and the progress of an upgraded item to new one by clicking on the "transfer" tab.
For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. However, there are many ways to obtain them, including signing contracts and buying them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, collecting them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from reward chests that are available during the Ancient Arena season. Additionally players can break down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that lets players boost the base stats of weapons armor, helms and trinkets. It is achieved by combining an item with upgrades at the Upgrade Station and paying a fee in Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade materials will be used up and the item upgrades will be upgraded to a higher level. This process continues until the item reaches its highest level.
Items with upgraded stats will have a blue icon beside their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, cannot be added to more than one item at once. Furthermore, each upgrade component will require a specific quantity of items to be applied, as well as a minimum level for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can choose to add items to be upgraded. On the right, previews show what the gear will look like at its next level. When a player has enough materials and has pressed the yellow arrow will initiate the upgrade process.

Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be inserted into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to offer an added bonus or effect when the equipment is being used. They can be bought through vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs which can be removed and replaced freely.
Requirements
Upgrades to items give players the ability to increase certain stats of armor and weapons that they currently own. The requirements for upgrading an item differ based on the type of item however, generally you'll require Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options available).
Item upgrade components can be used to make set pieces and weapons for added effects or a higher level of the item. These upgrades can come from a variety of sources, such as crafting, buying at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component is placed in an item it cannot be removed and substituted without restriction, however the glyphs that are used in gathering tools can be swapped out without restrictions.
Upgrades to an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Additionally, some upgrade components include additional modifiers that can increase the stats of an item.
The upgrade to the helm "Foundation of the Sun" For instance, increases the base defense and gives an additional 20% chance to block. The dps "Wildfire" however increases damage from weapons.
Upgrades can be beneficial to certain items, but they are not because they boost stats. They are more valuable for the players when they get the perfect roll. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x more than the non-upp'd version.
When you choose an upgrade component to slot into an item the game will show an in-game window that lists the necessary requirements. These include the type of item (either Weapon or Armor) the level of the item, the Upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
The game will add an item in your inventory once you have met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then change to show you how close you are to finishing the upgrade.
