When the requirements are satisfied, the user can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be raised in level by a certain percentage. Based on the rarity of the item, the upgrade process can be as quick as a few seconds to minutes.

The upgrade process is risk-free, and does not impact the durability of the item. This makes the system an ideal way for players to get an advantage in combat without putting a strain on their accounts. For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" improves base defense, and adds an extra 20% chance of blocking. In addition the dps upgrade "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.

Upgrades can be beneficial for some items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable for the players when they achieve a perfect roll. For instance, a flawlessly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.

If you choose an upgrade component that you want to put into an item the game will display an in-game window that lists the required requirements. The game will show the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an Best item upgrade (forum.beloader.com).
