Some weapons can be upgraded to a higher level using an Ashes of War weapon, which is rewarded for beating certain bosses of raids. Other upgrades can be added to weapons equipped with Whetblades which are rare items that can unlock new Affinities that you can infuse your weapon with.

Trinkets
The Trinkets can provide a range of Boosts. They can be upgraded like any other equipment by interacting directly with the Item Upgrader.
You can find an item upgrader in the town of Stardew Valley. To make use of it, you must first unequip any armor or weapons that are equipped. The NPC will then appear with a red banner "Equiped" over his head.
If you select him, he will give you the option of upgrading your weapon or armor. To do this, you must bring the required items and currency to the NPC. When you do, the NPC will upgrade your gear, increasing its stats by one level.
A trinket is a small and affordable piece of jewelry. The word is probably derived from the Old English word trenket, meaning "three-cornered sail," perhaps a reference to a particular type of three-cornered sail that was once carried on a ship's foremast or, as some scholars suggest it was a toy knife could be worn by a child as an ornament.
Trinkets, unlike other equipment, cannot be reforged. This means that if you own more than one of the identical trinket upgrades in your inventory, it will remain at the higher value and the lower-level upgrades will get replaced.
Apart from the standard trinket upgrade, each comes with additional capabilities that can be added. These can increase the effectiveness of the item, and might require more materials or skills to obtain. Some can be obtained by interacting with a NPC in a quest while others are available as drop from battlegrounds and dungeons.
The Item Upgrader NPC is available in various locations throughout the world of games. These are displayed on the map under the Locations tab. Certain NPCs offer upgrades only for certain kinds of equipment while others can upgrade any item. Certain NPCs offer additional perks for those who have completed their quests. The NPC at Shattering Rift gives players a new toy if they destroy the Ancient Beast. Similarly, the NPC at Eastern Guard Tower offers a unique trinket to those who overcome the Ancient Beast.
Set Pieces
A set piece is a crucial scene that enhances a film and stays with audiences long after the credits roll. It could be a scene that involves emotions, action or simply a visual display. Set pieces are a major component of movie magic and must be carefully executed to achieve the desired effect. Mission Impossible is a great example of how set pieces can create a an impact on viewers.
Set pieces are utilized in professional soccer to refer to the time when a ball is returned to the field by way of throwing in, a kick or other formal means. This includes corners and indirect free kicks (also called indirect free kicks), direct free kicks (also known as direct free kicks) and goal kicks. Teams can use these situations to their advantage by placing players in positions to take the ball and forcing defensive players to be on guard and adjust their assignments in line with the situation. This may involve crossing, aerial duels or other forms of delivery and, of course, headed goals.
In the film industry the set piece is essential to a scene that requires meticulous logistical planning and significant expense to carry out. These scenes are deemed essential to the overall story and are not able to be reworked or cut out without compromising the integrity of the movie as an entire. Some notable scenes include a chase sequence an explosive explosion, or even a car accident.
The process of upgrading, or upping as it is often called, is to turn a normal rare, set, or unique item into an elite variant of the base item. This is done by purchasing an upgrade for a component through the upgrade menu and then slotting it into a base item that has been upgraded.
This unlocks the stats which were locked behind that base item's requirements, or maxed out version. The increased stats make the upgraded version more valuable than the base version. The maximum defense rolls and upgrade requirements for the upgraded version are listed in the tables below.
There are exceptions to the rule. For example when an item has intrinsically high requirements that limit its usage (take Whistan's shield from Facebook sorcs as an example) or when an item has a very low base stat, which can be upgraded to a high or perfect roll, then it will only be able to see limited usage and therefore gain little value.
