iRobot recommends that you tidy the area in which the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other clutter it might come across. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filter clean to prevent them from becoming clogged. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and empties the dirt into the station's dust bin. Then it continues cleaning from where it started. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot with voice or via the app.
The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from all surfaces, including carpeting. The biggest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin which eliminates the main sources of maintenance and reduces recurring cost.
We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot on how to begin or stop cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room, and even vacuum a specific area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. When connected to these services, we were able give the i7+ voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." In our tests of the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and handled dog hair (on carpet) very well, picking up 86% of it. However, it didn't do particularly well in avoiding higher-up objects like cords or socks, which was disappointing. It's also more expensive than other models that we tested, and this could be a deterrent for certain shoppers.
