Its obstacle detection was excellent, and it avoided fake dog turds and socks, shoes and bundles of cables.
It's a bit more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically emptys into its base, and also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after vacuuming it, something we've not seen on other robot vacuum/mop combos.
3. Roomba X40 from iRobot
With an elegant circular design that appears more like a regular Roomba rather than the boxes This mop and robot vacuum is among the most appealing looking in our evaluations. The latest model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It features advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company's robot vacuums uk that can wash mop pads on its own).

The smart robot employs the combination of LIDAR and structured light to create the floor plan and detect obstacles, making it more efficient than some of its premium rivals. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards however this was not foolproof in our tests and was sometimes confused with obstructions or power cords.
The vacuum robotic cleaner and mop comes with an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to do the job. It also comes with a feature called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas of the home based on how dirty the areas are.
