The i3+ EVO unlike the other robot vacuums we have tested, has a self-emptying bin that automatically dumps debris in an external dirt container on its charging base when it's full. The i3+ EVO is able to prevent overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However it still needs to be emptied manually at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L which will last for four to five cleaning sessions.
Like the i7, utilizes state-of-the-art floor-tracking sensors to create maps. It also allows you to navigate through neat rows. However, the i3+ EVO only stores one map, whereas the i7 can store multiple. The i7's map can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, however, not the i3+ EVO.
While the i3+ EVO is superior in picking up dirt and debris from surfaces than the other robovacs we reviewed, it's not the best when it comes to cleaning edges and corners. It's also not as gentle on furniture, despite being surprisingly quiet. It moved chairs away from walls and made some collisions with the sides of our test bed, and also was stuck to cords and toys while testing.
