WoW Upgrades - The item upgrader mod Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random extra substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less important for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current level of the item being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar Best item upgrader, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which displays a preview of the item when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot for the item and the current level of the item. For instance, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. After an item level Upgrade has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currencies.

Upgraders for items can be found in many places including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and the possibility of getting an entirely new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases depending on the amount of items that are being upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades require a variety of means that are both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3 the upgrade system has been tweaked a bit, with some new features added. After an upgrade has been completed to a certain item level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same Best item upgrade level will cost less. This is true even if the items come from another set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced as well, but is only available once certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

Players have a number of choices when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more special and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in 4 ranks.

First, you should know that crests are only available for equipment that is that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The most basic and straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one may require as many as 20 crests based on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by doing outdoor activities, or by completing dungeons and raids in all difficulty levels to obtain lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.

The use of these currencies isn't that difficult however, the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible on all of their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests with care, since they are only used for one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment available and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to create. This is particularly applicable to items like rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
