Item upgrading allows players to enhance their weapons and gear with new affixes that boost its base stats or giving additional benefits. To upgrade an item, the player has to have it in their inventory and have access to the kiln.

Upgrade components

Leveling

Path of Exile's upgrade system is different from previous versions in several fundamental ways.
