World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For example, a weapon with the upgrade template ending in % will suffer 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with item level upgrade's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment with a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive and it is likely that the item will become obsolete or even break when the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Certain upgrades also provide an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs boost the effectiveness of all nodes in their radius as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as you can.

In the endgame you'll often discover that the best way to improve your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes much faster.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a statistic by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the many Glyphs and there are some rare glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs You will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, which is why it is recommended to place Glyphs in the most important locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For example, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage points, but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different amount of components, and the upgrade costs increase as the item gets leveled up.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an individual player improves a piece of equipment it is replaced by a new item. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a problem, as it can cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be beneficial but it should not be used frequently as it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled several times to increase their value, giving players the ability to alter their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or does not swim as dolphins). The item can be upgraded multiple times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP, as an item that is properly rolled it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set, while upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal and also increase their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to return to its original state and the player having to purchase more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item upgrader mod fails to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained like chances to be crit attack damage, additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time or reloading speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to the value of the base item. For example, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with the lowest cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Players will still have to take every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade will require an individual amount of upgrade ingredients.
