iRobot suggests that you clear areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, and include putting away any clutter or toys it may come across. Also, keep the dustbin and filters clear to avoid becoming clogged. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and emptys the dirt into the docking station's external dustbin. It then continues cleaning from where it started. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half continuous use, and takes around three hours to fully recharge.

2. IRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model of the flagship line from iRobot, and it has the most up-to-date features. It's self-charging, self-navigating and -- the most important feature of all -- it comes with best self cleaning robot vacuum-emptying bins that eliminate one of the primary sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum cleaner on sale vacuum.

The Roomba I7+ can map rooms more efficiently with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot using voice or through the app.

In our tests the i7+ was faster and more maneuverable than our runner-up and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surfaces kinds including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though it self-empties its dust bin that eliminates a major source of maintenance and lowers recurring costs.

We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to begin or stop cleaning sessions and also to move around the room, and vacuum a particular area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. Once connected, we were able to use the i7+'s voice commands such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and monitoring performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world filled with cordless vacs that feel like minivans or buses, this small Dyson model is a sports car. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of households, but it also fits in well next to a coffee table or on the bookshelf, that you can spin around like a magic device.

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery which produces energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filtering system captures allergens, and then lets cleaner air into your home.
