Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can increase the stats of a piece of equipment and, sometimes, even add extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random augmentations used.
For instance, the premium shield for racial discrimination Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb function in PvP, or to add additional defenses on missile based builds in PvM. This makes it more marketable over the original version that is not upgraded.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to reroll a purchased item, such as an armor, weapon or ring. This swaps the current item for another similar one with an additional set of bonuses. Reroll tokens are an efficient method of upgrading equipment. They don't keep the original item's level and any money wasted aren't rewarded.
Survivors may acquire reroll tokens by a variety of means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. You can also find them in crates and chests or buy them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute on the equipment for example, increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.
Players can reroll equipment in three attributes, physical power, spell power and health. Upgrades to physical power can increase damage from weapons and melee attack and spell power boost mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
Three types of rerolls tokens are available: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item upgrader kit to higher quality. To produce them, you require an upgrade level token for rerolling. Upgrades require a regular item. Rare upgrades require an item that is unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
The marker that rerolls, unlike special tokens or markers placed on action spaces, remains on the space till the next success is being rerolled. This allows you to avoid wasting upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase, and can be opened by grabbing them using Interact. Once they are open they show a complete description and an icon for the relevant appliance or ingredient. The restaurant's shop can trade blueprints for a brand new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.

Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to upgrade weapons, armor and accessories. These stones are special stones that increase the level of an item upgrades by increasing its stats or attributes. These items can be obtained by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a fee. They can also be obtained by players who sign daily contracts.
To upgrade their gear players must first find the item they want to upgrade and then click the "level up" button. This will display a menu that shows the item's current status and what it will be when being upgraded, along with the required amount of Growth Stones to accomplish this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the gear will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires one Growth Stone.
After deciding what to upgrade, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to utilize and pay the appropriate cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, he is able to hit the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. This will raise the item's level by a specific percentage. The upgrade process can last anywhere from seconds to several minutes, based on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process also is risk-free and does not impact the longevity of the item. The system is an excellent option for players who want to gain an advantage in combat, but don't want to burden their wallets. Leveling
Leveling is a feature that lets players boost the stats of their weapons armor, helms and trinkets. It is accomplished by adding upgrades at the Upgrade Station, paying a fee in Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will use up the upgrade components and grant the item an upgrade level, giving the item an additional boost in that particular area. This process can be repeated until the highest level of an item is attained.
Items with upgraded stats will have a blue icon beside their slot. Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can slot into armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and other trinkets to give an additional benefit or bonus when the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, obtained through questing or exchanged between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will damage the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs, which can be removed and replaced at will.
Requirements

Certain items benefit from upgrading less because of their improved stats and more because it allows players to get the most value from a flawless roll on the item. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.
The game will display the requirements when you select the upgrade component to be incorporated into the item. The game will show the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item level upgrade.
The game will put an item in your inventory when you have met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then update to show you how far you are to completing the upgrade. You can also track the status of an item upgrader upgrade by visiting any NPC who upgrades items.
