How To Save Money On Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft - item upgrade Upgrading
The upgrade of an item allows players to increase an item upgrader kit's gear score up to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you decide to take them to the kiln.
Certain items can be upgraded to increase their stats (like an ideally broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while others like weapons do not vary greatly post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats like damage to attack, crit chance, PvE and PvP damage. They also have a flat bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. A lot of weapons also come with a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a unit. This bonus could exceed the damage a weapon upgrade alone can cause.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a gun will increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. This is usually a good aspect, but it may also have negative effects. In the case of items that only see use in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance), upgrading them may render them useless unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.
Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their stats. For instance, if you have chests or helms it will boost the defense of its base, while a belt and gloves will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it is able to reduce its value.
The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats that it will get when upgraded, along with their relative values. This means that a weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will strike three times less, since it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button in the item menu with the arrows that are circling. This will roll an item and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's levels or connect it to an account's status.
Armor
A few armor upgrades can make the world of difference to your survivability. Certain sets provide massive increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which makes the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the greater defense you can offer your character, the more health you'll gain from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.
To upgrade your armor, go to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game, and to unlock each one you must complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main side quest and mastered the fountain in question, you can then contact any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.
The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor is different. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. For example the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a large group of enemies in the majority of cold conditions and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, granting you enough protection to withstand a full on raid with a few of your friends.
You can't upgrade your armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or spell power. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade items the armor you'll still wear by the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also get some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to beat the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades to the helmets and chest armor to allow you to escape some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquid substances that, when consumed, provide the user with a temporary status effect. There are five types of potions, each with different effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, increasing their level of effect. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.
Upgrades to potion cost a certain amount of XP, which can be earned by making them on a table or the chest of the Alchemist. However, the upgrade price will vary based on the kind of potion you wish to upgrade, and also on the item upgrader mod's Mark Level and Rarity.
To upgrade a potion you need to right-click it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI where you can choose the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll produce when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not be degraded until you use it again, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to rename it.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanics of potions. For example, splash potions now have the duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the item hover display). The table of potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. This is the same for using a potion within a cauldron that is full. This will draw out the potion and refill the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to potions that are lingering to increase their effects. The potion table is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could be a reference to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a purpose, but isn't particularly significant, such as a thimble. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons and armor, as well as potions. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their status.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are offered using tokens, gold or fragments of trinkets that are rare.
Upgrading a trinket is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing an entirely new one. One can upgrade a trinket with as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl as the previous one, and will include an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Once the old Trinkets are not usable they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase both their power and value over time. They can be traded between players and are a viable alternative to gold.
In general players should make upgrades to their highest priority items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are first upgraded before their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment that won't be replacing in the near future (such as rings or cloaks). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when deciding the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player, then they should upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.
Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level once they no longer have value, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. However, a re-upgrade is likely to ruin the previous trinket until it is salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still cheaper than buying new ones.
