It's the best automatic vacuum cleaner robotic hoover for carpets but it isn't as effective as some of its competitors in terms of deep cleaning.

This high-performing mop and vacuum combo makes use of advanced sensors to stay clear of obstacles and pet waste and it also learns the layout of your home over time to ensure more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to set up zones and modify the cleaning schedule. It comes with a battery life that is comparable to other models.

It can even clean the floor after vacuuming, a feature that we've not seen on other robot vacuum cleaner reviews vacuum/mop combos.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

The robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, circular design that looks more like the regular Roomba model than the boxy units of the competitors. It's among our most appealing looking robot vacuums that mop vacuums. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also its smartest. It has advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads autonomously).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum that has a perfect 10 in our tests thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, which include a camera, structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully self-refill and empty its base station and it has an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

Like other iRobot models as well, the X40 is user-friendly, offering an easy mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit as well as Google Assistant. The only issue is that the X40 is still a noisy unit. This can be a problem in the mornings before work or at night when you're trying to fall asleep.
