World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

For instance an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will suffer an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix that alters the name of the equipment with which it is used (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade items is a way to modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of the item will be revealed at the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're not sure of how much it will improve following a subsequent reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a substantial possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break when it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could cause the destruction of the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate the chances of failure, and some upgrades that provide an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

In the endgame, you will often find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that can enhance a stat by. The value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

The use of Glyphs Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, but you should also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be able to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When the player upgrades the equipment they have it will be replaced by the new item. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage, as the item upgrader kit can increase in price even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that is based on a level 1 base and completely different bonuses. This is a good idea but it should not be repeated often since it can waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides a buff if the player is repeatedly in or leaves the water. This item can be upgraded several times by increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is very valuable in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of a non-upgraded version.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear that can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can cause the item upgrade to return to its original condition, which requires the player to spend additional items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with the effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded gains a crit chance increase it will be applied before any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated every time an upgrade item occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade item an item is based on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to the value of the base item. For instance, a common item might have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements from regular gear. For example they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. However, players must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of the ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs listed above.
