The best robot vacuum cleaner and mop Robot Hoover

The best robot vacuum cleaner and mop robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention, and it will leave your floors spotless. Its affordable price and high-end functions (such as a dirt detectors) are both positives.

Make sure to check your robot's brushes frequently for tangled debris and hair. Wash them when necessary. Certain models also automatically empty the dust bin on board and then deposit it in a larger bin at the bottom. This can reduce the amount of fine dust that gets released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've test. They feature top-of-the-line motors that can pull up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. As with other top iRobot models (including the top pick), they use intelligent mapping technology to create detailed floor plans and avoid home-based obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also come with a feature called carpet boost that increases the robot's power when it detects the presence of dirt on the carpet in order to get it cleaned quickly.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored very well in our tests on floors that were bare, and they are particularly adept in cleaning dog hair. However, they have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. One of them is that the Q5's navigation doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance which means it's susceptible to getting hung up on shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate tight spaces very efficiently in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.

Still, it's very good to consider, particularly if you're looking to save money on a Roomba from iRobot and have a mostly unfinished home or office. Plus, it's very quiet and can be used while you're at work or going to school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming feature that's offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping, using disposable wet wipes that don't stay on for long and don't take on dried-on debris. The Q5 does have self-emptying docks, however. And, if you need to, you can swap the mopping pad to dry ones in a matter of just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact elegant vacuum cleaner that can also mop floors. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it simple to clean and efficient at taking on larger particles, such as pet hair. It also comes with a powerful suction and self-emptying bin. It's the best automatic vacuum cleaner robot hoover for carpets, though it lags behind some competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop utilizes sensors to keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the patterns of your home over time and ensure more efficient cleaning. You can alter its cleaning schedule and customize zones using the app that is well-designed. Its battery life is average in comparison to similar models.

You can instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mop and extend them when it's in a room with carpet to prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm can also be used to reach beneath furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It doesn't perform as well on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During tests, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot autonomous vacuum/mop that could complete the entire house with only 66 percent of its battery left. It also did an excellent job cleaning a range of floors and rooms with mixed flooring types, including some area rugs. Its obstacle detection was great, and it avoided fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles of cables.

It's a bit more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a dustbin on board that automatically empties into its base, and it supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It is able to clean floors even after it has vacuumed. This is a feature that we haven't seen on other robot vacuum/mop combination.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With a sleek, circular design that looks like a regular Roomba than the competition's compact models, this mop and robot vacuum with mop vacuum is among the most attractive looking models in our tests. The latest model from iRobot is its most advanced model, with features that are cutting-edge like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum to score an exemplary 10/10 in our tests due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include a camera, structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation autonomously. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.

Like other iRobot models, the X40 is user-friendly, offering an intuitive mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only issue is that it's still quite an eerily noisy device that could be an issue if you use it in the morning before work or at night as you attempt to sleep.

It's also a bit costly but not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally powerful and more attractive. If you're willing some more volume and some extra cost it's a efficient two-in-one device that should delight most.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot mop and vacuum. It has a range of advanced features that will help you forget your chores. Similar to Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that takes the care of mopping and vacuuming, with a multi-function dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank and washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floorplans and identify obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its top competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time hazards detection but this wasn't foolproof in our tests and was sometimes confused with power cords or obstructions.

The vacuum cleaner has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to do the job. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vac works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house in accordance with the amount of dirt they are.

For bigger homes, it's worth opting for one with zone or spot cleaning modes that let you tell the robot to clean one particular area of your home by using the app or voice commands. If you have furniture, a stair-mode is also useful. Also, a recharge and resume feature that lets your robot vacuum pick up right where it left off is great for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you might imagine from its price. It does a stellar job vacuuming, picking up 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with one pad that has an oscillating motion that cleans better than most of the other mop cleaners for robots we've examined. And it's highly self-sufficient with a fully-featured app as well as a self-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot application is designed to guide you through a mapping run that collects data on your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas you've marked on the map. It can be used to make cleaning schedules, arrange a spot clean or to prioritise your dirtiest rooms for better performance. The app has a range of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.

It can also reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It features an impressive 8000 Pascal suction as well as sophisticated combs that remove pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean that will thoroughly clean an area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD offers a sleeker and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive design, similar to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are shaped like cute eyes. It is great at vacuuming, however it is more likely to get stuck on low thresholds. It also has a higher noise than other top robot vacuums that we've test. It also comes with an app that's not as intuitive and a small base station that does not double as a bin to empty.
