So You ve Bought Item Upgrade ... Now What
WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also increased with every upgrade.
Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll an exact version.
Recycle Points
The item level upgrade upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.
Upgrades will cost more, based on the item level, however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades to item upgrades owners in a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will display a preview of an item's next level of upgrade, when there are enough materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the Item Level Upgrade and the current level of the item. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.
item upgrader mod upgraders can be found in a variety of locations on the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a possibility of obtaining an entirely new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases as more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the start unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are available only via a variety of ways. This is both a positive and a disadvantage.
In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a particular level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading other items to that level will cost less, even in the event that they are part of an entirely different set of gear.
The discount is available to all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievements.
Crests
Players have a number of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item upgrader kit that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
First, you should know that crests are only available for equipment that is that is of a particular rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The most basic and straightforward upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the more complex one requires as many as 20 crests based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, which involves walking around and performing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.
The use of these currencies isn't too complicated however, the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest level possible for all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.
Another significant change is that crests have one use, so it's important to use them properly. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The discount on the account will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
