Uber Technologies, Inc. is an American multinational ride-hailing company headquartered in San Francisco, California. Uber operates a platform connecting riders with drivers and offers food delivery through Uber Eats.

Overview

Founded in 2009 by Travis Kalanick and Garrett Camp, Uber disrupted the traditional taxi industry and pioneered the gig economy model. Under CEO Dara Khosrowshahi's leadership since 2017, Uber achieved its first annual operating profit in 2023.
