Airbnb, Inc. is an American company operating an online marketplace for lodging, primarily homestays for vacation rentals and tourism activities. Airbnb has disrupted the hospitality industry globally.

Overview

Founded in 2008 by Brian Chesky, Joe Gebbia, and Nathan Blecharczyk, Airbnb has grown from renting air mattresses in San Francisco to a global platform with millions of listings in over 220 countries. The company went public in December 2020.
