However unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we tested the i3+ doesn't have a feature for avoiding obstacles, so it may get stuck on things such as socks or power cords and it may have trouble traversing transitions across surfaces, such as from hardwood to carpet.

The i7+ is more efficient and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. The biggest advantage over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin which eliminates the main sources of maintenance and reduces recurring cost.
We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the affordable robot vacuum on how to start or stop cleaning sessions as well as move around the room, and vacuum a particular area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. We were able, once connected, to speak commands to the i7+ like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate your home, but it lacks the ability to map that comes with more advanced models like our top picks and the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. This means that it is sometimes stuck on things like phone cords or low furniture, and it often will run out of battery before making it back to its home base.
