The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are a different kind of item that can provide a boost to your stats. They can be used to upgrade armor, trinkets and weapons.
Upgrades to items use a system called "upgrade pity" to determine probabilities. This system is designed to limit the risk of losing money and offer security when upgrading.
Armor
The item upgrader allows players to improve the level of equipment on their armor, trinkets and weapons. The upgrade is applied to the gear when you visit an item upgrader NPC with the appropriate currency. Upgrading an item will also increase the stats on the item.
This NPC is located in every major city, and is located in the edge of the square, near the Teleport. The NPC can upgrade any armor, weapon, or trinket except for those that require a quest, or crafting.
Note: The item you use to apply an upgrade items will be consumed for the duration of time. You are not able to apply multiple upgrades to a piece. If you attempt to do so, the previous upgrade will be replaced.

Weapons

Therefore, players should only upgrade their weapons once they've acquired the maximum possible number of upgrades from regular and Whetblade items.
Trinkets
The Trinkets provide a variety of Boosts. They can be upgraded just like other equipment by interacting with an Item Upgrader NPC.
Stardew Valley is the place where you can find an item upgrading, more resources, tool. To use it, you must first unequip any weapons or armor that you have equipped. The NPC will then appear with a red banner "Equiped" over his head.

For example, the NPC in Shattering Rift offers a new toy when players take down the Ancient Beast, while the NPC in Eastern Guard Tower provides players with a special trinket.
