1. Roomba Q5 Pro
The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've examined. They feature top-of-the-line motors that can pull up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other premium iRobot models (including the top-rated model) they employ smart mapping technology to create detailed floor plans that avoid household obstacles such as cords and furniture legs. The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored extremely well in our tests of floors with no carpet, and they are particularly adept in cleaning dog hair. They do have some flaws however, which prevent them from being our top option. One of the Q5's shortcomings is that its navigation system doesn't feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has self-emptying docks, however. If you're in need of it mop, the mopping pad can be changed for a wet one in just a few seconds.
