The Three Greatest Moments In Robot Vacuum Deals History
top robot vacuum Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
Now is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot cleaner vacuum to date. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of an object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot hoover robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills quickly, leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep in areas you don’t want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.
The design is also better than the competition. It has a sleek, high-end piece that appears like toys rather than an obnoxious and loud robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System automatically empty, which is great for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, we observed that the j7+ quickly took away dirt, dust, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it across the floor. It even could take small gravel and sand that other robots aren't able to do. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
The j7+, while not as intelligent Vacuum Cleaner as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and it isn't able to clean the stairs, it's an excellent choice for those who want both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and often it's hard to determine if the update is actually functioning until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors A hybrid is the ideal choice. This kind of robot usually includes a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also have a number of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock produces some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have some of the features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It is also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a place where most robot vacuums of lower quality do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation is excellent, with few misses along walls and in corners.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products, can be controlled by only a few buttons on your device or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas and modify your home map or change the room's label.
If you decide to go with the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make the robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed emptying the bin can be done with relative ease. It also comes with an impressive LCD display which is great to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't essential for the majority of people, but it can help you effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and features are some of the top available however, it's also expensive.
The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and the size is quite compact. The primary selling point of the station is that it automates many tasks, chores and functions that other robots have to leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot clean and charged.
And its vacuuming is impressive, too. It's the few robovacs I've tried that does an excellent job of cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially in the area of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It also can't climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.
While it doesn't offer the same amount of cleaning options available in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the price price.
But if you want to save money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic there are many other great choices on the market, including a lot of eufy models priced significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and offers the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at an affordable price point. It's easy to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. It is recommended to keep the dock close to a power outlet and plenty of room for it to move around but.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise, which means it can be placed under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. The design is less flashy than some of the rival models, with a sleek black finish and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in an arc for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The primary aspect that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the method it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, has the same battery life and performs better on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with a set of boundaries that keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky material like cereal.
