Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to upgrade weapons, armor and other accessories. These are special stones that can increase the level of an item by increasing its stats and abilities. Players can locate these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. Additionally, players can acquire these stones by signing daily contracts.
To upgrade gear players must first locate the item and then click the "level up button". The screen will show a summary of the item's current level and what it will become after being upgraded. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones needed to accomplish this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.
After selecting the item to upgrade, the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. When the requirements have been satisfied, the user can then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will increase the item's level a certain percentage. The process of upgrading can last between a few seconds and minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is risk-free and doesn't affect the durability of the item. This makes the system an excellent way for players to gain an advantage in combat without putting stress on their accounts. Moreover, players can transfer the experience and advancement of an upgraded item onto a new one by clicking on the "transfer" tab.

You can finish contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, get them from Equipment Stone Seal Book or get them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an option that allows you to increase the power of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. It is achieved by combining an item with upgrades at the Upgrade Station, paying a fee in Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade components will be consumed and the item will gain an upgraded level. This process can be repeated until the maximum level for an item has been attained.
Items that have upgraded base stats display an icon of blue in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, can't be added to more than one item at once. Each upgrade component also requires a certain number of items as well as a certain level of equipment.
The Upgrade Station features two slots: the left is where players can place an item that they wish to upgrade, and the right side shows a glimpse of what the gear will appear like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow after is a player has enough resources will begin the upgrade process.
A piece of gear can be upgraded up to five times. Each time the item is upgraded, its base stats will increase by a small percentage. The maximum level for an item is 19.
When an item upgrader kit is at its maximum capacity, it will no longer have the option to upgrade. When a piece of equipment reaches a specific upgrade item track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track ) they will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can slot into weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools in order to provide an extra effect or attribute benefit while the equipment is equipped. They can be purchased from vendors, looted or obtained through quests or traded between players. Upgrade components can be swapped by acquiring new ones. However, this can destroy the old upgrade.
Requirements
Items upgrades allow players to boost certain stats of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements for upgrading an item vary depending on the kind of item, but typically you'll need Dilithium and a number of Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).
Upgrades to items can be slotted into equipment set pieces or weapons to provide added effects or a higher quality item. These upgrades can be gotten from a variety of sources within the game, such as crafting, purchased from the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses or raids, or retrieved from dungeons. Once an upgrade items component has been added to an item, it cannot be removed and replaced freely, however, the glyphs used in gathering tools can be swapped out without limitation.
Upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can boost the item's statistics.
For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense, and gives an additional 20% chance to block. Additionally, the dps upgrade "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.
Upgrades can be beneficial to certain items, but not because they boost stats. They are more valuable for the players when they achieve an exact roll. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for example, is highly valued by melee PvP communities and can be worth 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.
The game will highlight the requirements when you select the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. These include the type of item (either weapon or armor), the level of the item as well as the upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
The game will add an item upgrader kit (Recommended Internet page) in your inventory after you have fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then update to show how close you are towards getting the upgrade completed. You can also check on the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
