1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. The most significant innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to detect objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you a picture of an object that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we've ever tested. It removes dirt and spills easily, leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep in areas that you don't wish to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off with your voice.
Its design is superior to the rest and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's automatic cleaning robot Dirt Disposal It also self-empties which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ was quick to eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it on the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots could not accomplish this feat. And it did all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shedding.
Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs The J7+ is a solid option for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to tell whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors A hybrid is the best option. These machines are equipped with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also have a number of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be pricey at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. While it may not include some of the premium features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option if you are willing to compromise to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like table legs and walls and walls, which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is a place where cheaper robot floor cleaner vacuums can really fail. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent and has very few missing in corners and on walls.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled by the buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the self-cleaning robot vacuums easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place emptying the bin is done with relative ease. It also has a large LCD display, which is nice to have when creating schedules or changing settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people, but it's one that will assist you in keeping the track of the maintenance intervals for your robot with ease.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and functionality are among the top available - but it's also pricey.
It is a relatively small base station that looks stunning and is easily hidden when not in use. The primary selling point of the station is that it automates many tasks, functions and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot fully charged and clean.
And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's the only robovac I've tested that does an excellent job of removing debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it can get stuck or confused in certain areas of the home. It's not able navigate stairs as well as competitors,, and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a vacuum robot that can do it all.
If you're looking to cut costs or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. A lot of eufy models are significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with more features like stairs, a fully-function dock, and superior overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums with the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpeted flooring, and mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's easy to setup, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app takes you through several steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be located close to an outlet that has plenty of space to move.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be placed under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is more subtle compared to some rival models. It is sleek with a black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path. It remembers what it has already cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. If it requires a recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes automated cleaning from where it left off.
The eufy G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower cost of operation. It is faster to charge, has a similar battery life, and performs better on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and comes with the boundaries that restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is, however, is more affordable and a lot more manageable to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently, and it has less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
