1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling the i3 EVO are both identical robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying features. That makes the i3+ a good choice for people who want an automated, hands-free cleaning experience but don't mind having to empty their dust bin manually when it fills up.
Both robots do well picking up surface debris on hard floors and carpets, and they're very adept at maneuvering around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates a smart maps of your home to help the i3+ navigate and clean up efficiently. However unlike the i7+ and other top Rated robot Vacuum rated robots we test the i3+ doesn't have obstacle-avoidance capabilities and therefore it could get stuck on things like power cords or socks, and it can have difficulty in navigating through transitions between surfaces, such as from hardwood to rug.
iRobot recommends clearing areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, which includes putting away any clutter or toys it might encounter. It's also an excellent idea to keep the dustbin and filter clean so that they do not become blocked by dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is filled or the battery is empty it goes back to its docking station and automatically emptying its dirt into the station's external dustbin and continues cleaning where it left off. The battery's life span is approximately an hour and a half of constant usage. It takes 3 hours to charge.
2. Roomba from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in the iRobot flagship line and has the most up-to-date features. It's self-charging, self-navigating, and the most crucial feature of all -- it has an auto-emptying dustbin, which eliminates one of the most important sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba I7+ can make rooms more efficient maps using Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and you can direct your robot using the app or voice.
In our testing the i7+ was more agile and faster than our runner-up, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surface types including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though it self-empties its dust bin which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and reduces the amount of time spent cleaning.
We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning session and to move around the room, and even vacuum a specific space. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. We were able, once connected, to voice commands to the i7+ like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and evaluating performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is a sports car in a sea of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It's got the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum for many households, but it also fits nicely on the table for a coffee or shelves where you can wave it around like an enchanted tool.
The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, high-energy lithium-ion battery that can provide continuous, non-fading power for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filtering system captures allergens, and then releases cleaner air into your home. Its specialized head uses stiff nylon bristles that penetrate deep into carpets and collect large particles or fine dust. It has three suction modes that can be adapted to the specific task. The V10's biggest drawback is its short run time. The claims of its marketing that it can last up to 60 minutes of running time are a bit misleading as CR's tests have shown. This is a typical, not an exceptional, run time for a battery-powered cordless vac. This is enough time to clean the typical home but not enough to reach every spot. (A second run is usually sufficient). This model has its own advantages however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is significantly better on low-pile floor carpet.

The Xiaomi Mi best buy robot vacuum best combo vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in many ways, as it has fewer components that require regular maintenance, is fitted with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, has lower recurring costs, has more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in maneuvering itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and charges faster.
The eufy RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 for most reasons, since it has a longer battery life, has the ability to alter its suction power mode manually and comes with physical boundary strips, and is operated by your phone's voice assistant. In our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and dealt with dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86% of it. It did not do well in avoiding taller items such as cords or socks. This was disappointing. It's also more expensive than other models that we tested, and this could be a problem for some buyers.
