Glyphs
When you reach the 50th level, Blizzard’s action-RPG shifts from its streamlined campaign to the endgame. The game's mechanics start to change, as players are pushed into the Paragon Board leveling system, Nightmare Dungeons, and new grinds that ensure their class build is as robust as it can be.
Glyphs play a crucial role in this progression. Glyphs' stat attributes and impact radius on the Paragon Board are boosted by increasing their upgrade level. There are several ways to gain these upgrades, but most players will find themselves relying on the most common method: raiding Faction Crypts.
Glyphs lets you insert symbols into your text. You can select them from the menu to the left side of the screen. The Glyphs panel displays glyphs that are based on the font in which your cursor is located. You can change the font or typestyle, and narrow the list to include only punctuation symbols using the option under the Entire Font. You can see the CID/GID value and Unicode value of the glyph by moving your cursor.
The Glyphs Panel will keep the track of your last 35 glyphs and display them under Recently Used in the first row (you must expand the panel so you can see all 35). You can also remove any glyph that is not listed by clicking it with the right-click or Control-click and selecting Remove From Recent Glyphs.
Another feature of the Glyphs panel is the ability to create and edit a custom glyph set, which is helpful when you must write certain types of text frequently. This will save you the hassle of manually inserting each glyph when you need it.
A custom glyph can have a maximum of 30 glyphs. This includes both the base name and its suffix. The glyphs of the base name must be uppercase English letters (A-Z) as well as lowercase English letters (a-z), European digits (0-9) and underscore (_). The suffix can also include ligatures, or contextual alternative. These are special variations which combine two or more letters into one glyph.
Reroll Tokens
Upgrades are the principal mechanic that provides extra benefits on items, including extra stats. These upgrades come in several types: rerolls, level up and recycle. Each type offers a distinct set of bonuses that are added to an item.
Reroll Tokens allow players to alter the base power of an item and the number of upgrades available as well as be used to reroll substats of ring. This can be beneficial if an item's fully upgraded (or "potential") power is less than a player desires or if its current substats aren't ideal.
Rerolling an item costs 1 token and will reset the upgrades, but will keep the rarity, set and level unaffected. As an Best item upgrader is progressively leveled up, its tier rises. The main stat of the item upgrader kit will be increased by 3 points for each tier. An additional stat will be boosted along with it. When an item upgrader is leveled to its highest possible level increases its rank by 1.
The Blueprint Desk is a tool that lets players purchase new appliances, ingredients and Decorations for their restaurant. Blueprints are available at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and appear as envelopes which can be opened by pressing the Grab. Each blueprint comes with its own icon, and each type of upgradeable item upgrade has a different icon:
Selecting a franchise card from the Blueprint Desk will allow you to acquire certain appliances or ingredients that are required for some recipes. Certain appliances and ingredients are considered staples and will never be available at the Shop or through a reroll, while others have a greater chance of appearing if a specific Franchise Card is picked from the Blueprint Desk. The Staple Pool is where all items will remain for the duration of the game. When purchased from the Blueprint Desk, non-staple equipment is also transferred to the Seed Pool.
Recycled Items
The magic happens when you use the third "R," recycling. You can benefit the environment by recycling a product that is made of recycled material. This is because most items that are recycled go back to the manufacturer of the original to be remanufactured into a new product. This is referred to as "closing of the loop of recycling."
When a person places something into their curbside recycling bin it is taken to a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) where it is separated and divided into its various components. Then, it can be offered to manufacturers at the end of the line to make something completely new. Items that are typically transformed into new products include:
This reduces the necessity to harvest, cultivate or extract raw materials to make something other than. This reduces the damage caused to nature; fewer trees are chopped down and rivers are diverted and wild animals are relocated. It also reduces the amount of pollution that is caused by the dumped substances into our soil, water and air.
In addition, purchasing recycled products help keep local jobs and businesses in business, particularly those that specialize in making goods from recycled materials. This is due to the fact that demand for these products encourages companies to take part in this environmentally healthy effort.
The final reason to purchase recycled items is that it requires less energy to create new products from recycled material than to create them from raw materials. The manufacturing process for an aluminum container that is new requires 95% more power than the process of making an aluminum can made from recycled material. Every little amount counts.
Leveling
The majority of units can be leveled up and gain XP each time they attack or are attacked. The XP used for this is used to unlock upgrades, or increase the stats of the unit. Weapons are a great example, since they can be upgraded and increase their damage and range.
Most levels require a certain amount of levels to be reached but this may differ from game to game. Leveling is accomplished by spending either coins or resources. Most systems use both, however some use one.
In many games, leveling can be problematic because it makes certain units too powerful and other units are unable compete. It is better to limit the amount of leveling that a player can achieve, and require players to make a decision on what they wish to upgrade and the reason for it.
