The best robotic mop and vacuum Robot Hoover

The best robot automatic hoover can vacuum and mop without needing your attention, and will leave your floors clean. Its affordable price and high-end features (such as dirt detectors) are both positives.

Examine your robot's brush regularly for tangled debris as well as hair. Wash them if needed. Certain models also automatically empty the onboard dustbin and deposit it in a larger bin at the base. This reduces the amount fine dust released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive sibling, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we've test. They have top-of-the-line motors that can generate up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other premium iRobots (including the top model) they utilize smart mapping to produce precise floor plans and eliminate household obstacles like furniture leg. The robots also have the feature of Carpet Boost that increases its power when it detects dirt on the carpet.

Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our tests on floors that are bare and are particularly effective in removing pet hair. However, they do have a few flaws however, which prevent them from being our top option. For one, the Q5's navigation doesn't feature AI-powered obstacle avoidance technology which means it's susceptible to getting hung up on shoes and socks and can't navigate tight spaces very well in our tests. Also, it doesn't have an image sensor that lets it see the corners of the room.

It's still a good deal for those whose office or home has lots of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save some money. It's also very quiet and operates when you're at work or in school. The only thing it doesn't have that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. It's also less effective at mopping, using disposable wet wipes that don't stay on for long and don't take on dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. And, if you need to, you can switch the mopping pad to a dry one in seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that can also sweep floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps as well as quick navigation make it easy to clean and effective in dealing with larger particles like pet hair. It also has an impressive suction system and self-emptying bin. It's the best robot hoover for carpets, but it lags behind some competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performing mop and vacuum combination utilizes advanced sensors to avoid obstacles and pet waste, and it will learn the layout of your home over time to ensure more efficient cleaning. The app lets you set up zones and modify the cleaning schedule. It comes with a battery life that is comparable to other models.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted space, you can tell it to remove and extend its mop. This helps prevent cross contamination. The flex arm can be used to reach beneath low-lying furnishings and along baseboards. It doesn't perform as well on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop in the market to clean an entire home, and it did so with the battery at 66 percent left. It did a great cleaning job on various rooms and floors with various flooring types including certain area rugs. Its obstacle detection was superb and it was able to avoid fake dog turds and socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's a bit more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empties into the base. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after vacuuming, a feature that we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combos.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

With a sleek circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba than the competition's compact models, this robot vacuum and mop - clicktrack.Pubmatic.Com - combo is one of the most appealing looking in our evaluations. The latest model from iRobot happens to be its smartest model, with features that are cutting-edge like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot vacuums that mop that can autonomously wash mop pads).

It's also the sole robot vacuum/mop that scored an absolute 10 out of 10 in our tests. This is thanks to a mix of high-tech sensors including a structured lighting system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can completely autonomously refill and empty its base station, and it has an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It has a simple mobile application interface, and it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only real drawback is that it's loud that could be problematic if you run it in the morning prior to work, or at night when you try to sleep.

It's also quite expensive, but not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally capable and better looking. If you're willing with a bit more noise and some additional cost it's a powerful two-in-one that will satisfy most people.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with many advanced features that will let you get rid of your chores. Similar to Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that takes the care of vacuuming and mopping, with a multifunction dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank, washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot makes use of a combination of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and identify obstacles, and navigates more effectively than some of its premium rivals. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards, though this wasn't foolproof in our tests and could be confused with power cords or obstructions.

The vacuum has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to complete the task. It also comes with an option called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the vacuum's power and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas of the house depending on how dirty the areas tend to be.

If you own a larger home, it's worth choosing a model that has the option of cleaning zones or spots. This allows you to tell the robot which area of your home must be cleaned using the app or voice control. If you have furniture, a stair-mode is also useful. Additionally, a recharge and resume function that allows your robot vacuum to continue where it left off is ideal for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is more advanced than its price suggests. It does a stellar job vacuuming, picking up 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with a single pad that uses an oscillating motion that cleans better than most of the other robot mop cleaners we've tried. It's also self-sufficient, with a fully-featured app as well as an auto-emptying washable base.

The well-designed iRobot app guides you through an initial mapping exercise that collects information about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you set on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules or set up the spot-cleaning. You can also use it to rank your most filthy areas to improve performance. The app comes with a variety of features, including seasonal suggestions, customized mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.

It can also reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It also has a powerful 8000 Pascal suction and combs that are intelligent for pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean that thoroughly cleans a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker, cheaper alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive design, akin to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are shaped like cute eyes. It is great at vacuuming, but it is more likely to get caught on low thresholds. It is also noisier than other top robot vacuums that we have test. It also has a less user-friendly app and a small base station that doesn't double as a bin for emptying.
