Item upgrades are a way to boost the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade, it may raise an item's Mark level or Rarity, and also boost other stats.

The process of upgrading equipment in The War Within requires a certain number of Flightstones and Crests and each item upgrader mod has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a certain amount.

The value of an item's stats base increases when it is upgraded. The value is the sum of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive, depending on the person you hire and what you decide to do. This is due to how many perks have to be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.

It is also used to enforce gating requirements when queueing for raids, dungeons and scenarios. It also serves as a gating requirement while waiting for dungeons, scenarios, and raids, as well as to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is limited to a lower level). The average level of the item is listed on the character sheet.

Utilizing the level of an item will allow players to compare the strength of equipment when choosing to buy or sell. It's a good gauge of an item's worth and the amount of damage it is capable of dealing with. The item level can also be used to evaluate items when evaluating a vendor's inventory.

The level of the item can be checked by pressing the ALT key on a PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the full item description, including its value. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are many theories about how the level of an item is determined. One theory is that the item level is a number that comes from a formula that calculates the amount an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration that different perks are valued differently, and that gems in the sockets boost the value of the item. This process can result in a calculated amount for the item's ilvl, which is usually close to Blizzard's real level of the item.

However, this is not the only factor which determines the ilvl of an item, since the level of the area the item was dropped in could alter the value of its stats, for instance by adding an additional level to its haste or crit rating. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have more the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

Item Stats

The item's stats can be the difference between a good or bad item upgrader kit for players. The game makes use of them in many ways to encourage players to not limit themselves to a single weapon, and to encourage players to explore other weapons. The stat mods of a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then increased by a player's skill.

Upgrades to an Item upgrade (digitaltibetan.win) may increase the stats of an item. The cost of upgrades is determined by the rarity of the item. A grey or white item for instance, can only be upgraded one time and items with rare tiers may be upgraded multiple times with more expensive costs.

Affixes are another way to alter the stats of an item. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and they come in all sizes and shapes. Affixes are used to provide items with extra damage, special abilities (such as revitalizing dead or reducing cooling downs) or to make them unique by adding a name.

All affixes can be being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. This will cost a specific amount of gold and other items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges similar to other rerolling methods.

Players can upgrade an item with a specific stat, or reroll affixes. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However each item will have at least one stat in that range unless they are a unique item, or an item that has a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

Another thing that could change is the possibility of upgrading equipment without having to roll the affixes, or choose which stats to increase. However, as with the base equipment, this would need to be done on a per-item basis and the item compare interface will not show all the stats that could be that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player boosts the chance of finding items, the properties that are spawned by loot and the strength of these properties. However, it doesn't directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players a chance to acquire better gear in earlier waves, and is therefore more beneficial in the early game than in later ones, since most players prefer higher weapon scaling and defenses over raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chances of being successful when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chance which increases with each level and can be further increased through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

The shields, armor, and weapons have the default Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to give +40 Luck or to boost the existing Luck of an item, up to 140.

Certain items, like the Hollow-infused weapon can also be crafted to increase the damage dealt by any skill that causes damage by 5percent. These items can be found in the shops or made using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. Cash shop items can be used to increase the chance of success of an upgrade or to stop players from losing their item if it fails.

When you upgrade an item, the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of successfully upgrading the item and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased by so much, and the chance that the upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%.

The success of an upgrade is also affected by the Luck of that item level upgrade. Each item has an average success rate of 25%, and each item that has Luck increases this chance by five percent.

Note that item upgrades are rendered above the items in the inventory which means that enchantment glints and other effects could be obstructed by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
