The Best robot hoover and mop Hoover

The best robot hoover can clean and mop without requiring your attention, and it will leave your floors clean. Its affordable price and high-end features (such as a dirt detectors) are both positives.

Be sure to regularly examine the brushes of your robot for tangled hair and large debris and clean them as required. Some models also self-empty their onboard dust bin into a larger bin in the base, which reduces the amount of fine dust that is released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive counterpart the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we have examined. They are equipped with motors that are top of the quality and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Like other premium iRobots (including the most powerful model) they utilize intelligent mapping to design precise floorplans and avoid household obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also come with carpet boost, a feature that increases the robot's power when it spots a lot of dirt on the carpet, allowing it cleaned up quickly.

Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our floor tests that test for bare floors and are particularly effective at cleaning pet hair. However, they do have a few flaws that keep them from being our top choice. One of the flaws of the Q5 is robots that vacuum and mop its navigation system does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance. It's therefore prone to get stuck on socks and shoes and could not navigate through rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.

However, it's a good choice for those who want to save money on a Roomba from iRobot, and you have a bare-floored home or office. Additionally, it's quiet and can be used while you're at work, or school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming feature that's offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on for long and don't deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with a self-emptying dock, though. If you're required to, the mopping pad can be replaced with an awe-inspiring one in a matter of seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can mop floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps and quick navigation make it easy to clean, and effective in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also features an impressive suction system and a self-emptying bin. It's the best automatic vacuum robot vacuum for carpets, but it lags behind some competitors in deep cleaning.

This highly efficient combination vacuum and mop utilizes advanced sensors to stay clear of obstacles and pet waste, and it learns your home's layout over time for more efficient cleaning. You can modify its cleaning schedule and set up zones through the well-designed app. It has a battery lifespan that is similar to other models.

If the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can instruct it to remove and extend its mops. This can help avoid cross contamination. The flex arm is perfect for getting under furniture that is low and along baseboards. However, it doesn't have the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ as well as the iRobot Combo j9+.

In tests, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop in the market to clean an entire house, finishing with 66 percent of its battery left. It also did an excellent job cleaning a variety of floors and rooms that had various flooring types, such as certain area rugs. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it was nimbly avoiding fake dog socks, turds, shoes and cables.

It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It is able to clean floors even after it vacuums. This is a feature that we haven't seen before on other robotic vacuum/mop combinations.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

With a sleek circular design that appears more like a normal Roomba rather than the boxy units This robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive looking models in our evaluations. The newest model from iRobot is its most advanced, with advanced features including enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

It's also the only robotic vacuum/mop that scored an absolute 10 out of 10 in our tests. This is due to a combination high-tech sensors, including a structured light system, camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can completely self-refill and empty its base station, and it has an industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.

As with other iRobot models as well, the X40 is user-friendly, with a simple mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only drawback is that it's a noisy unit that could be a problem if you run it in the morning before work or at night as you try to fall asleep.

It's also quite expensive, though it's not as pricey as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are similarly capable and more attractive. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful however, it's going to cost you more and create more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a lot of advanced features to help you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaner that is similar to Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It comes with a multi-function dock that will automatically emptys the bin of the vacuum and refills the water tank, as well as washes and dry mop pads.

The smart robot makes use of LIDAR and structured lighting to create floor plans and spot obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its competitors with premium features. It also has a front-mounted camera for real-time hazard detection, although this wasn't quite foolproof in our testing and was occasionally confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to complete the task. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates how hard the vacuum works and also adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home in accordance with the amount of dirt they are.

For larger houses it's worth looking for models with spot or zone cleaning modes that allow you to instruct the robot to clean one particular area of your house using the app or voice commands. If you have a lot of furniture, a stair-mode is also a good option. Also the recharge and resume feature that lets your robot vacuum pick up right where it left off is great for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you would think from its price. It's a pro at vacuuming, removing 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with one pad that has a reciprocating motion, which cleans better than most of the other robot mop cleaners we've tried. It's also self-sufficient, with a full-featured application and a self-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot application is designed to help you navigate the mapping process, which gathers information on your floorplan and any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, arrange the perfect spot for cleaning or prioritize your most filthy rooms to ensure better performance. The app offers a variety of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.

It can also reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It features an impressive 8,000 Pascal suction, as well as clever combs for removing pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean that will thoroughly clean the area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and cheaper alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive design, akin to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are designed to resemble cute little eyes. It is capable of vacuuming but is more prone to getting caught on low thresholds and is a bit louder than the other top robotic vacuums we've tested. It also has a less user-friendly app and a small base station that can't be used as an emptying bin.
