However, they do have some flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the flaws of the Q5 is its navigation system does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance. It's also prone to getting stuck on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people efficiently during our tests. It doesn't also have a camera that can see around corners.

However, it's a good choice, especially if you want to save money on a iRobot Roomba and you have a bare-floored home or office. It's also extremely quiet and works while you are at work or in school. The only thing it lacks that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective in mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't stick well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has an auto-emptying dock, however. If you want to, you can swap the mopping pad for dry ones in a matter of seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that can mop floors. Its nimble navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it simple to clean and effective at taking on larger particles, such as pet hair. It comes with a multi-function dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank, and washes and dry the mop pads.

It also has a camera mounted on the front to detect hazards in real-time however, it wasn't foolproof in our testing and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

The iRobot app is designed to guide you through an exercise in mapping, which gathers information on your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. It can be used to make cleaning schedules, plan the perfect spot for cleaning or sort out your rooms with the most dirt to ensure better performance.
