robots that vacuum and mop (enquiry)
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills, staining) in one time without having to swap out devices. They can also help save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its relatively low cost and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start guide will have you running in no time. It comes with an entire dust bag, water tank and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly application that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You can, for example request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are also excellent, with the robot being capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only issue it has is that it can smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but an instant glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance jobs need to be done, such as emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, by using a 600ml bottle filled with eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last 136 mins in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.
The only drawback I could find in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to remove the mount for manual washing. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause abrasions.

You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings.
