However unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we test the i3+ doesn't have obstacle-avoidance capabilities which means it can get stuck on things such as power cords or socks, and may have issues in navigating through transitions between surfaces like hardwood to rug.
iRobot recommends clearing areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, including putting away any clutter or toys it may come across. You should also keep the filters and dust bin clear to avoid getting blocked. When the i3+ EVO’s internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and automatically empties the dirt into the station's dust bin. It then continues cleaning from where it left off. The i3+ EVO's battery lasts for about an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes about three hours to fully recharge.
2. iRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model of the flagship line from iRobot, and it has the most up-to-date features. It's self-charging, self-navigating, and -- the most important feature of all -- it comes with self cleaning vacuum-emptying bins that eliminate one of the main sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba I7+ is able to make rooms more efficient maps using Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and it can direct your robot using the app or voice.
In our tests, the i7+ was faster and more maneuverable than our second-placed model which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surface types, including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, is its self-emptying dustbin, which eliminates a major source of maintenance and reduces recurring costs.
We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning session and move around the room, and even vacuum the area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and easy with the iRobot Home app. After being connected, to voice commands to the i7+ for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The V10's biggest drawback is its limited run time. The claims of its marketing that it can provide up to 60 minutes of run time are not true as CR's tests show. This is a typical not an extraordinary time for an electric cordless vacuum powered by batteries. This is enough time to vacuum a typical-sized home but not enough to reach every area. (A second run generally works). This model has its own advantages however: it's lighter and more mobile than previous Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is significantly better on low-pile floor carpet.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
One of the most well-known best robot floor cleaner vacuums The 694 is a basic model that's an excellent option for those who don't want to spend too much money on a robot. It's capable of sucking up a variety of debris types and sizes during our tests, and often goes over the same areas many times to ensure a thorough clean. The flat front of the unit allows it to reach into corners and along the edges of walls which is a nice feature.
Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate around your home, but it isn't equipped with the mapping capability of more sophisticated models such as our top selections, the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. As a result, it can sometimes get stuck on things like phone cords or low furniture, and it often runs out of battery power before returning to its original location.
The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways over the Roomba 694 in that it has fewer components that require regular cleaning, is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, has a lower costs for recurring expenses, is more sophisticated in its automation capabilities and is better able to navigate its own. It also has a larger dustbin and is charged faster.
The sleek RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba 694. It also comes with physical boundaries strips that can be controlled with your smartphone's voice assistance. It is also more durable, has a stronger motor, and is more effective on floors with bare or low-pile.
5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+
Samsung is a well-known brand in the field of home electronics. It's not a surprise that they are also among the Top rated robot vacuum manufacturers of robot vacuums and mop. Their Jet Bot AI+ is packed with cutting-edge onboard tech for navigation and obstacles avoidance.

In our tests during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and it removed 86% of dog hair (on carpet). It did not do well in avoiding taller items such as socks or cords. The application also allows you to steer the robot manually if needed. For example, my living room rug has a darkly colored border that has a tendency to cause confusion for other robots I've tested. However, the HRV 425BL continued to move across the border without registering it as an incline. The ability to program a weekly cleaning schedule for each week is a time-saving advantage.
