WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item upgrader mod will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader each couple of weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item, but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that are used to improve the quality of weapons and tools, armor and other accessories. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. button, which will display a preview of the item at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the item upgrading slot, and the current item upgrader mod level. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of obtaining an entirely new recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only available via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.

In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. After a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level upgrade (Check Out dokuwiki.stream) level will cost less. This is even if those items are from another set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced as well, but is only available after certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

Players have several options when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that crests are only available for gear that is of a particular rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by completing content at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities, or by completing dungeons and raids in any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with a heroic difficulty for endgame gear. These crests can then be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.

Using these new currencies isn't too difficult, but the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests wisely, as they have only one purpose. It is Best item upgrade to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment that you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to take advantage of the account-wide discount if all slots are full of high-quality equipment.
