World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also increase bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will gain 3percent of its previous damage every time it's upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item upgrader kit. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level for a component to be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could be prefixed or a suffix changing the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for examplefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to make stronger versions of the equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can modify the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or buying them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals.

The player can have the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of the extent to which it will improve following a subsequent reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it's possible that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs boost the effectiveness of all nodes in their radius as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 as soon as possible.

In the endgame, you will often find that the Best item upgrade way to improve your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and give an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that it can improve a statistic by. The value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the many Glyphs, and there are some rare glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Utilizing Glyphs Glyph will boost all nodes connected to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes, but also consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to improve the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is often referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and when enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrades a piece of equipment, the base item will be replaced with a new item. This means that the same armor piece will get the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This could be a problem, as it can make the item more expensive if you do not require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to do so. The item level upgrade will be replaced by the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be beneficial but it should not be used frequently as it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and allows the player to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player is repeatedly in or exits the water. This item can be upgraded many times, increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of the non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

item upgrader kit upgrading allows players to boost the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of the piece, whereas upgrading weapons will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade an item it is given an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the more you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to revert back to its original condition, which requires the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any gained bonuses such as crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than standard gear. For instance, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players will need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each upgrade of equipment will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs mentioned above.
