10 Meetups On Item Upgrader You Should Attend
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades can be used to improve the stats of a particular item. Depending on the type of upgrade, it may increase the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level and boost additional stats.
Each item has a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a certain amount.
Item Level
When an item gets upgraded, its basic stats improve in value. This value is the total of all its leveled up benefits (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrades can be costly, dependent on who you employ and what you do. This is due to how many perks have to be replaced to allow the item to be upgraded.
It is also used to enforce gating requirements when queueing for raids, dungeons and scenarios. It is also used as a gating requirement while waiting for dungeons, scenarios, and raids, as well as to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear (since PvP is capped at an lower level). Players can view their average item level in their character sheet.
When deciding whether to buy or sell equipment, players can compare the levels of the item. It's an excellent gauge of an item's worth and the amount of damage it is able to deal. Comparing items in a vendor's stock is possible using the item level.
On your PC, you can check the level of the item by pressing ALT or using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the full description of the item upgrading, as well as its level. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel into chat.
There are various theories on how the calculation of an item's level is carried out. One theory suggests that the level of an item is calculated using an equation that determines the worth of an item's stats actually are. It takes into consideration that different benefits are valued differently and that gems in sockets boost the value of the item. This process could result in a calculated value for the item's level, which is usually close to Blizzard's real level of the item.
This is not the only factor that affects the ilvl of an item. The degree of the area in which the item dropped can also change its stats. For example it can add a level to the item's haste or crit score. Items that drop in higher-level instances will have a higher value.
Item Stats
Item stats can be the difference between a good or bad item for players. The game utilizes them in many ways to encourage players not to restrict themselves to a particular weapon and to encourage players to explore other weapons. The stat mods of an weapon increase the base stats. These stat mods are then increased by a player's level.
Item upgrades add to that by increasing certain stats on the item. The upgrade costs are determined by the rarity of the item. A grey or white item for instance, will only be upgraded once however, items with rare tiers can be upgraded several times at more expensive costs.
Another method to alter the stats of an item is through affixes. They are stat boosts that can be added by the player to an item. Affixes can be used to give the item extra damage, or add a unique capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or cutting down the cooldowns) or make the item unique by adding a special name to the item.
Currently, all affixes can be modified by selecting them in the upgrade item window and pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circling arrows. This procedure will cost the player a specific amount of gold and other items which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other options for rerolling.
Players can choose to upgrade an item by a specific stat, or reroll the affixes. The possible ranges of stats for an item are determined by the level of the item, but all items are guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the specified range, unless it's an exclusive item or the result of a God roll from a boss of a raid.
Another thing that can be modified by adding an option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes or choosing which stats to increase. Like the base equipment, this must be done per item, and the item comparison interface will not show all possible stats simultaneously.
Item Luck
The Luck stat for a player adds up to increase the chances of finding items and the properties that are spawned from loot drops and the intensity of the properties. However, it doesn't directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It merely gives players a possibility to obtain better gear in earlier waves and is thus more valuable in the initial game run than in later ones, since most players prefer greater weapon scaling and defense over raw damage gains.
In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the probability of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability, which increases with each level and can be further increased by using an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.
Weapons, armor, and shields can be made or spawn using the Luck property, with an initial value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the material of the Item upgrader Mod) to grant an additional +40 Luck or to boost the existing Luck of the item up to 140.
Additionally, certain items, such as the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be outfitted to boost the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5%. These items can be purchased from the shop or made using the correct ingredients.
Item Failure
Upgrades to items are expensive and not all upgrades will succeed. Cash shop items can be used to boost the chances of success for an upgrade, or to protect players from losing their items if it does not work.
When you upgrade an item the success rate is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage is the probability of successfully upgrading an item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased so much, and the chance that the upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%.
The Luck of an item can also influence the effectiveness of an upgrade. Each item has an average success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases that chance by an additional 5%.
The item upgrade overlays are rendered above the items in the inventory. This can block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
